Please make sure you stay updated regarding all travel restrictions by contacting your airline before traveling. Likewise, several countries and airliners will require you to do a PCR test in Tanzania before leaving the country. Regarding this matter, we will definitely assist you by helping to plan the itinerary accordingly (in order to allow time for a test to be done) and also with any extra transfers (additional charges may apply), advance payment of the test (where possible) and contacting hospitals and clinics upon request to receive the test control number emission. Please do note we are not liable for any consequences related but not limited to delays on the results, extra costs charged by hospitals or clinics, positive or inconclusive outcomes, etc. Any extra cost related with any possible situation will be the sole responsibility of the traveller.

We used to recommend getting the visa on arrival as it used to be a very straightforward process. However, since August 2019 the process has been slower and we have started recommending getting the visa online at: https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/visa/ Do note the e-visa can take up to 3 weeks to be processed so if you will arrive soon we still recommend getting it on arrival. Also, if entry is an overland transfer between Maasai Mara and Serengeti (Isebania or Tarime border) it is still preferable to get the visa ON ARRIVAL. The visa costs $50 USD per person except for U.S Citizens who pay $100 USD per person. Some countries do require a referral visa in advance. Please contact us if you are a citizen of any of the following countries: Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Chad, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, Pakistan, Kazakhstan Republic, Kyigten Republic, Lebanon, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Palestine, Senegal, Iraq, Iran. Somalia, Sri Lanka, Somali land, Sierra Leone, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Syria and Yemen.  There are also countries whose nationals do not require VISA. Please check list here:https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/visa/guidelines

They are then distributed to all staff and not just to "visible" staff such as the porters who will bring your luggage to the rooms. For local guides. We work with local guides that we pay. As with the lodges, it is customary to reward guides for their work. Depending on the number of people traveling with you and the number of days of your safari, we advise you to take a wheeled travel bag. Bags are easier to store in the trunk and the wheels will make it easier for you to move your bag. You can take a small bag that you will keep with you all day in which you will have everything you could possibly need during the day.
